OVERVIEW

Tavolata festival is an annual food festival set in Val d'Orcia.

The festival celebrates the ritual of gathering around the table, bringing together food, wine, music, and regional traditions in a shared experience rooted in place and community.

Instead of focusing on celebrity chefs or fine dining, Tavolata want to focus the attention toward the people behind the food and the moments that happen when people sit and eat together.

The identity was developed to position the festival not simply as a food event, but as a cultural celebration. At its core is the idea that the table is more than a surface for eating: it is a social space for exchange, storytelling, and connection.

The visual identity is built around a friendly chair logo, which represents the empty seat at the table, an invitation to join.

Typography and layout support this expressive direction through bold headlines and hand lettering. The handwritten elements echo the spontaneity of gathering around the table.
